Affiliations

The National Association of Pharmacies (ANF) actively collaborates with various national and international stakeholders, with the aim of contributing to debates on the priorities and challenges of health and society, participating in strategic working groups, strengthening collaboration with political decision-makers and opinion leaders, and reinforcing the role of pharmacies in the health ecosystem.

At national level, the Association is a member of institutions such as the Portuguese Business Confederation (CIP) and the Portuguese Trade and Services Confederation (CCP), two important promoters of the development of the Portuguese business fabric.

Internationally, ANF is represented in the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) and the World Pharmacy Council (WPC), promoting the professional and economic development of community pharmacies worldwide. In Europe, through its participation in the Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union (PGEU), the association that represents pharmacists and community pharmacies in the European Union, it actively contributes to European policies and to the affirmation of community pharmacies as one of the fundamental pillars of the health systems of European countries.

NATIONAL

The Confederation of Commerce and Services of Portugal (CCP) defends the interests of companies in the commerce and services sector, acting as an interlocutor on issues of legislation, taxation and working conditions.

The Portuguese Business Confederation (CIP) represents more than 150,000 companies and aims to promote their interests and strengthen the Portuguese business fabric.

The National Health Convention is the body that organises the largest permanent national debate on the present and future of health in Portugal, bringing together professionals from the sector, institutions, authorities and other interested parties.

The Portuguese Council for Health and the Environment (CPSA) promotes the interrelationship between public health and the environment, making the health system capable of responding to the challenges of the climate crisis.

The Dignitude Association develops solidarity programmes with a major social impact, aimed at the quality of life and well-being of the Portuguese, particularly in terms of reducing barriers to access to medicines and healthcare.

The Fórum Saúde XXI aims to value and recognise health as an essential element for economic development, social cohesion and the well-being and safety of citizens.

GRACE – Empresas Responsáveis operates in the areas of corporate social responsibility and sustainability in Portugal, promoting the implementation of practices in these areas.

Health Cluster Portugal aims to contribute to greater competitiveness in the national health value chain, promoting innovation and collaboration in the sector.

MVO Portugal is the organisation responsible for guaranteeing the authenticity and safety of medicines in the country.

The Health in Dialogue Platform aims to encourage discussion and reflection on issues related to public health and health policy, seeking to make people's voices heard.

INTERNATIONAL

The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) is a global organisation focused on the pharmaceutical sector, which supports the development of the pharmaceutical profession and its role in promoting public health.

The Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union (PGEU) is the voice of EU pharmacies in Brussels. PGEU's main objective is to promote the contribution of EU pharmacists to European health systems, society and people.

The World Pharmacy Council (WPC) is a global organisation that unites pharmacy associations and other players in the sector. Its mission is to boost the international recognition of community pharmacy and promote it as an essential part of the development of health systems.
