Sustainability (ESG)

ANF is a voice for health. We are dedicated to the continuous development of community pharmacies, anticipating trends and leading the implementation of innovative solutions that enable pharmacies to transform the health and well-being journey of the population.

Health is profoundly influenced by the environment in which we live: the social relationships we build, the way we use resources and the way institutions are run.

Sustainability is the commitment that every action taken today represents a step towards a healthier, fairer and more resilient future. Over the years, ANF has promoted this commitment through responsible social and environmental action, supporting initiatives that strengthen the community and the environment.

This commitment is in line with the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles that guide organisations around the world:

• Environmental: promoting practices that minimise environmental impact;
• Social: promoting initiatives that strengthen the community and promote equity and the health of the population;
• Governance: promoting ethical, transparent and participatory management.

With the aim of maximising positive impacts and minimising negative ones, ANF is developing a Sustainability Strategy based on an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) action plan. This strategy aims to ensure the economic viability of its operations while promoting responsible practices that contribute to a more sustainable future.

It will also promote a sustainability roadmap among pharmacies, so that we can build a better future in favour of a healthier and fairer planet. This initiative will support pharmacies in adopting practices that reduce their environmental impact and strengthen their social contribution, through clear guidelines, practical tools and the sharing of good practices.
