ANF is an active voice for Health and Health is deeply influenced by the context in which we live: by the social relationships we build, by the way we use resources, and by how institutions are managed. Therefore, at ANF, we understand sustainability as an essential commitment – ensuring that every action taken today represents a firm step toward a healthier, fairer, and more resilient future.
Over the years, ANF has promoted this commitment through responsible action on social and environmental fronts, supporting initiatives that strengthen communities, value people, and protect the environment. It now reinforces its commitment to the future by launching the “Sustainability 2030” program, which aims to integrate environmental, social, and governance sustainability into the Association’s decisions and operations in a structured and economically viable way, as well as support pharmacies in adopting responsible practices that contribute to a more sustainable future.
This strategy, designed for 2025–2030, sets commitments and targets to address the main challenges identified by ANF:
Environmental
Energy, adaptation to climate change, climate change mitigation, material and waste flows
Social
Working conditions, equal treatment and opportunities, communication with pharmacies, consumer safety, social inclusion, social, economic, and cultural rights
Governance
Management of supplier relationships, political engagement
Through its activities, ANF will contribute significantly to achieving the targets defined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with an expected impact on 29 targets across 12 SDGs, having identified the following as strategic:
