Published evidence shows that pharmacies play a role that goes far beyond the dispensing of medicines, establishing themselves as strategic partners of the healthcare system in health promotion, as well as in the prevention and management of disease within the community.

Community pharmacies are increasingly recognised as key settings for the collection of real-world data (RWD) and the generation of real-world evidence (RWE), making a significant contribution to improving knowledge about the use and impact of health technologies in real-life contexts.
