The National Association of Pharmacies (ANF), founded on 15 October 1975, represents the owners of community pharmacies in Portugal. Today, it has over 2,700 affiliated pharmacies, accounting for approximately 94% of all community pharmacies in the country.
Its areas of activity span the political, associative, professional, business, and economic-financial domains, as well as social and cultural responsibility. In addition to its national headquarters in Lisbon, ANF has two regional delegations located in Porto and Coimbra, operating through a decentralised structure.
ANF is today a voice for Health, representing community pharmacies, promoting innovation in the sector with a direct impact on people’s health, and strengthening the connection between pharmacies and society.
